英语习作
Beauty
Helen Keller once said, "The best and the most beautiful things in life cannot be seen or even touched "'they must be felt with the heart. "
Of ten, even for those of us who are sighted, beauty is elusive and hard to define. For me, beauty is what I always seek to experience and understand. Every day, everywhere I go, wherever my eyes light, there I see beauty in China, of ten in traditional forms, but even more often in modern ones.
As I go about my daily life, I see rows of trees lining the streets, I see the indescribable beauty of the rough dark branches of them, outlined (etched) against the deep green of their abundant leaves. Beautiful, you say. And I agree. As I walk through the city on my way to school, I look up at yet another skyscraper under construction, wrapped in a cocoon of bamboo poles. Glass and bamboo. Artificial and natural. Old and new. Beauty!
